Nottszone is a website for young people aged 11 to 19, their parents, carers, teachers and youth workers to find out about activities, clubs and things to do in Nottinghamshire.
Nottszone has been designed for young people, by young people. Its aims are to help young people in Nottinghamshire make new friends, have fun, and make a positive contribution to the community. We also want to make sure you get the opportunity to enjoy the many facilities that are available to young people across the county.
So if you're struggling to find something to do, or if you want to find a way to make a real difference to your community, you are in the right place.
Chair of the Young People's Board
Nottszone is a big database full of activities and things to do, like swimming clubs, youth clubs, events, drama, Scouts, Guides and pretty much anything else you can think of which young people would be interested in. Nottszone contains activities provided by a host of organisations including Nottinghamshire County Council, private and voluntary organisations and community groups.
We also aim to provide useful and up-to-date information for young people, parents, carers and anyone who works with young people. This includes links for staying safe, national and local help lines and other organisations who work with young people and their families.
The website is managed by Nottinghamshire County Council. It was set up with a 'Publicising Positive Activities' grant from the Government's Department for Children, Schools and Families. Young people from around Nottinghamshire were involved in the design and naming of the site, and their hard work is very much appreciated. Particular thanks go to Josh Davies, Sam Naylor, Lee Smith, Alicia Allen, Daniel Almond, George Burton, Daniel Scarborough, Chris Marriott and all of the young people who gave feedback through our Facebook page.
All of the entries listed are checked prior to being published on the website. While we do our best to make sure that all our entries are kept up-to-date, we recommend that you phone the activity provider beforehand to check that an activity is suitable for you and that it has not been cancelled. If you discover information which is incorrect or out of date, please contact us.
Nottszone does not recommend or endorse any of the activities, venues or groups shown on this website. They are listed to help young people and parents find out about the range of activities available. Our parent zone page contains safety advice that we advise you to read.
This website is aimed at young people aged 11 to 19 (and up to 25 for those with disabilities). For information about activities for the under-11s, contact the Families Information Service.
